Details: Womadelaide Festival, Adelaide - 7 March 2004. The Cat Empire are a popular hip hop/ funk/ rock outfit from Melbourne and has enjoyed success both in Australia and overseas. I knew little about them and was only familiar with their single 'Days Like These'. The recording is good but suffers from a little too much bass from the PA. It is still very listenable. The band go into long extended jams and play for about 50 minutes. They also play two non-album tracks 'Under The Sun' (not sure of the title) and 'Two Shoes For Dancing'. My rating: A-
